📘 History
Government Engineering College (GEC), Samastipur
was established in 2019 by the Government of Bihar under
the Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education (DSTTE).
The campus spans 19 acres near Sarairanjan, Narghoghi Block, Samastipur.
The building was officially handed over on 14 October 2022.
The college was established under “Saat Nischay Yojana”
to meet the growing demand for technical education.
🎓 Academic Beginnings
📅 08 September 2019 – First academic session started
👨🎓 Total Intake: 240 students
⚙️ Mechanical Engineering – 60 seats
🏗️ Civil Engineering – 60 seats
⚡ Electrical Engineering – 120 seats
📍 Classes initially held at MIT Muzaffarpur
